Mechanical, Automobile, IEM Engineering with 5 Year’s or Diploma with 8 to 10 Years of relevant experience.
Good knowledge of Implementation of Volvo / Toyota / GM production systems
Knowledge on Industrial Engineering Techniques
Knowledge on Volvo Product Function is preferred.
Knowledge & Experience in BIW & Paint will be preferred.
Basic Knowledge engineering software applications / Sprint, Kola, AutoCAD, Catia, BOM etc will be preferred.
Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage.
Good MS Office Skills
Good communication (Written & Oral)
Trouble shooting skills on Assembly and Material preparation issues.
On hand experience of Assembly / Production areas.

Deliver the ME activities for the respective areas (Ref Purpose for key activities)
Responsible for Pre-Production planning to achieve smooth Operations – Production preparation jobs (Day to day activities)
Ensure Production engineering issues are solved in less lead time
Support to maintain bill of materials & ensure timely supply to the assembly line
Responsible to document the transactions using relevant systems, Conduct DCN checks
Depending on the level of Design change, Manage and Implement through PSM mode the changes into Hosakote Operations
Inform material controller in Sweden and coordinate for procurement to handle all activities prior to production.
To provide engineering support to the process area in the plant
To introduce design specifications and changes in production
Provide production with instruction, service and satisfy assembly needs: tooling, process balancing, ergonomic issues etc.
Responsible to support & deliver in the strategic focus areas of GTO IM decided by the plant from time to time
To define manning and assembly time
To document quality requirements an assembly instructions
