Job Overview
The Service Engineer also collaborates with a cross functional team from technical support, Product Management and Global AM support organization and is responsible for providing the on field services for SPXFlow core equipment like Centrifuge and Homogenizer. Service engineer shall also be responsible of startup and commissioning of SPXFlow Core components.
He will ensure that site work will be completed in a safe, professional and timely manner. Service Engineer must be able to use test equipment and procedures. He also must be able to perform component maintenance, disassembly, and reconditioning, following Technical Manual procedures. Service Engineer must be able to lead and generate the Yearly maintenance schedules with Service Level agreements and Part level agreements.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in mechanical engineering.
- 3 - 5 years’ related industry experience in After Market services of Centrifugal Separators and Homogenizer.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and MS Project.
- Knowledge of Centrifugal Centrifuge and liquid dairy processing including installation and commissioning Trouble shooting of various equipment’s in milk processing plants.
- Additionally, Basic understanding of equipment Automation shall be preferred.
- Customer facing experience for solutions
- Knowledge of food/beverage regulations/hygiene requirements, etc.
- Manage internal communication between departments and / or Business Units
- Good communication skills both written and verbal in English
- Good attention to detail, able to interpret detailed specifications
- Quality focused and commercial awareness or aspect.
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel including document merges
- Health, Safety & Environmental Awareness
- Familiarity and understanding of both Centrifugal Separators and High pressure homogenizer
- Familiar with common Liquid Milk dairy processing (preferred not must).
Job Description
- Develop skills in maintenance and repair of components and machines.
- Perform all service tasks as assigned by the Aftermarket Manager.
- Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
- Engage with customers; understand customer problems; Conduct equipment checks and come up with solutions and list of spared requirement for the same.
- On availability of spares perform component maintenance, overhauling and/or reconditioning, as per Technical Manual procedures
- Communicate swiftly with customers to ensure customer’s requirements are clearly understood and provide them proper solution or plan to resolve the issues.
- Good amount of travelling is expected.
- Organize the necessary design review - quotation review - cost review for high value jobs.
- Identify and share all potential risks.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Develop skills in maintenance and repair of components and machines.
- Perform all service tasks as assigned by the Aftermarket Manager.
- Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments.
- Report any additional work required on equipment to the Aftermarket Manager, for proper and safe operation by the customer.
- Participate in all training programs as directed by the Aftermarket Manager.
- Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Make visits to customers to advise and make proposals regarding maintenance and service of their installed base.
- Always conduct self so as to present a professional image of the company.
