Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Design Engineer at the Intermediate level to join our tractor design team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a vital role in developing tractor components and systems, utilizing your skills to deliver innovative and high-quality designs. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.  
  • 3+ years of experience in design Engineering and knowledge on working in Metal fabrication components and Casting component design & drawings.Structural components like sheet metal and castings, knowledge about material specifications, material selection, exposure to manufacturing processes 
  • Proficiency in PTC CREO software and relevant engineering tools. 
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in 2D drawings and basic knowledge of tractor systems, components, and manufacturing processes. 
  • Experience with stack-up analysis techniques. 

Job Description

  • Design Development: Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to develop tractor components, ensuring alignment with project objectives. 
  • CAD Modeling: Utilize PTC CREO software to create precise 3D models, assemblies, and drawings of tractor parts. 
  • 2D Creation with GD&T: Develop detailed 2D drawings incorporating Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles for manufacturing and assembly processes. 
  • Stack-Up Analysis: Perform stack-up analysis to assess dimensional variation and tolerance accumulation in tractor assemblies, ensuring proper fit and functionality. 
  • Prototype Development: Assist in prototype creation and testing, providing feedback for design enhancements and improvements. 
  • Documentation: Prepare technical documentation and reports to effectively communicate design concepts, GD&T specifications, stack-up analysis results, and analysis results to stakeholders. 
  • Windchill PLM: Utilize Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software for managing design data, documents, and collaboration within the engineering team. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, and product management teams to ensure design objectives are met. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas for process enhancement and participate in initiatives to improve design methodologies. 
  • Design Development: Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to conceptualize, develop, and refine tractor components and systems. 
  • CAD Modeling: Utilize PTC CREO software to create accurate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings of tractor/Ag Implements, incorporating GD&T principles.  
  • Stack-Up Analysis: Perform stack-up analysis to assess dimensional variation and tolerance accumulation in tractor assemblies, ensuring proper fit and functionality. 
  • Documentation: Prepare technical documentation and reports to effectively communicate design concepts, GD&T specifications, stack-up analysis results, and analysis findings to stakeholders.
