Job Overview

As a Senior Manager/Sr. Manager/DGM Mechanical Engineer, with a focus on combined cycle power plants, you will play a critical role in the design and development of the main plant components (Gas Turbines, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, Steam Turbines, and related systems) for our projects. Your expertise in mechanical engineering, combined with your in-depth knowledge of international standards and guidelines, will contribute significantly to the success of our projects.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 10-18 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a proven track record in combined cycle power plant design.
  • In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems and various types of pumps used in combined cycle power plants.
  • Strong familiarity with international standards such as ASME, HEI, ASME-TDP, API, and HIS.
  • Proven experience in conducting feasibility studies and preparing detailed project reports.
  • Expertise in main plant basic and detail design for combined cycle power plants is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in preparing design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, system descriptions, sizing calculations, RFPs, and vendor evaluations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
  • Previous experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Job Description

  • Technical Expertise: Leverage your 10-18 years of experience to provide technical leadership in the basic and detailed design of Main Plant components for combined cycle power plants. Demonstrate proficiency in hydraulic systems and various types of pumps commonly used in combined cycle power plants.
  • Feasibility Studies and Project Reports: Utilize your experience to conduct feasibility studies and prepare detailed project reports for a variety of projects related to combined cycle power plants, assessing their viability and potential for success.
  • Main Plant Design: Apply your expertise in main plant design to enhance the efficiency and performance of combined cycle power plants. Previous experience in these areas will be a significant advantage.
  • Design Documentation: Take ownership of preparing essential design documentation, including Design Criteria, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), system descriptions, sizing calculations, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), tender evaluations, and vendor engineering for equipment and systems used in combined cycle power plants.
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate effectively with equipment vendors, ensuring that the specified components meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Standards and Guidelines: Apply your extensive knowledge of international standards such as ASME, HEI, ASME-TDP, API, and HIS to ensure that all design work complies with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Possess excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders. Effectively convey technical concepts and recommendations both verbally and in writing.
  • Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, sharing knowledge and experience to foster professional growth within the team.
