Arup is hiring for Electrical Engineer - Senior Electrical Engineer

• You will be a member of multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality engineering services designs, Supervising junior engineers and BIM staff. Manage timely delivery of designs to agreed cost constraints. You need to take a prominent role in respect of the building services elements of such projects in the production of calculations, drawings, tender documents, feasibility studies, condition reports, etc.
• Leading the design of the building systems and leading the development of appropriate building energy strategies and sustainability strategies for buildings, including communicating and agreeing these plans with the project team members and relevant authorities.
• Developing and encouraging sustainable building design on projects pushing the boundaries for data centre design, concepts, appraising and recommending optimum design solutions
• Leading the spatial and technical co-ordination of the building services and their integration into the building design and coordinating the work of others and coordinating work with engineers of other disciplines including in-house specialist
• Produce engineering designs, calculations, and specifications, using appropriate technical software. Lead the client engagement in the development, design and coordination of engineering solutions. Working across multiple projects with different design teams.
• Technical leadership of electrical design and providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Test (FATs) for key plant and equipment. Spend time on site during construction and commissioning to ensure successful project delivery.
• Identify business development opportunities by proactively reaching out to the strategic clients. Take lead in bids for new The candidate should hold a first or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or other recognized qualification within the construction industry.
• Be professionally qualified (chartered) and/or aspiring to register
• Produce engineering designs, calculations, and specifications, using appropriate technical software. Lead the client engagement in the development, design and coordination of engineering solutions. Working across multiple projects with different design teams.
• 10 to 12 years of relevant work experience. Datacentre, hospital, or laboratory sector or middle east experience would be an advantage.
• Designing in BIM/Revit experience would be an advantage as would use of other digital tools or programming skills.
• Able to demonstrate innovative design ability, engineering skills, and knowledge.

• Maintaining a wide array of professional relationships in the data centre industry (clients / suppliers / competitors, etc.) and actively promote Arup capabilities through technical publications and participating in related events.
