Eligibility Criteria

  • Successfully completed studies (university / technical college) in the field of mechanical engineering / automotive manufacturing
  • Experience in design in a combustion engine related field is a benefit
  • Autonomous, committed and flexible with structured/organized work ethic
  • Ability to work in a multicultural team with good social skills
  • Ability to Innovate
  • Goal Driven
  • Basic technical knowledge of combustion engine (diesel at least, Gasoline and/or Hydrogen is a plus)
  • Basic understanding of simulation results (1D, CFD, FEA, NVH.)
  • Surface modelling on CAD

Job Description

  • Design and optimization of components, assemblies and systems whilst taking account of technical, scheduling and financial aspects (design to cost from the customer requirements)
  • 3D drafting of components assemblies with CAD system including surface modelling (casting parts)
  • Creation and correction of 2D drawings with GD&T
  • Creation of 2D and 3D visualisations for clarifying technical content
  • Setting up technical presentations
  • Basic component calculation (FEM/analytical)
  • PLM management (BOM creation, lifecycle promotion, etc)
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation with the corresponding departments within the project environment
  • Tolerance stack-up
  • Cooperation with component suppliers for the clarification of technical properties of components and common component development (co-design)
  • Contribute to FMEA
  • Design component referent for selected component across all engine platforms
  • Patent analysis
  • Know-how capitalization – implementing technical guideli
