Eligibility Criteria

  • 3-5 years in a production or manufacturing role, preferably in the cement machinery or heavy equipment industry.
  • Proven experience in shop floor supervision or a related role.
  • Experience with metalworking, fabrication, and assembly processes specific to cement process machinery (e.g., welding, machining, Blasting & Painting). 
  • Proficiency in using CAD/CAM/SOLID WORKS software and ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Job Description

  • Plan, monitor, and control production activities to meet daily/weekly production targets.
  • Coordinate workflow and material movement between workstations.
  • Optimize processes for efficient utilization of resources, including labor, machinery, and materials.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues on the shop floor in collaboration with the Quality Assurance team.
  • Implement corrective actions to address recurring quality problems.
  • Monitor the performance of machinery and equipment, ensuring proper functioning.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
  • Analyse manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Suggest and implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles to streamline operations.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to shop floor personnel.
  • Conduct training sessions to improve the skills and efficiency of the workforce.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as Design, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company policies.
  • Promote a culture of safety and address hazards promptly.
