• Bachelors Degree in Automotive, Mechanical engineering
• 3-5 Yrs experience in Vehicle Testing
• Valid Heavy duty license will be added advantage
• In order to perform duties as a test engineer, he/she shall use the following tools
• Measurement equipment’s (Dewesoft, SLM, Steering wheel sensor, accelerometer, displacement sensors etc) whichever is applicable.
• Signal processing tools (Glyphworks, or any similar data analysis tool etc)
• 3 to 5 yrs hands on experience in vehicle measurements, durability, reliability testing 
• Overall good knowledge on vehicle and vehicle systems
• Ability to learn and adapt 

UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. Complete Vehicle inside UD Trucks - Technology organization deals is responsible for building/updating test vehicle, Verification, Validation, Certification of fully built vehicles and system. Features, Verification and Validation (FVV) inside CV is looking for test engineer who is purpose driven, analytic and innovative. 

• Plan, co-ordinate, perform verification and validation activities and document the test results in Engineering Reports, Fault documentation (PIL) etc.
• Based on the test assigned by the group manager, plan for the test and participate in start meeting.
• Secure resources (vehicle, measurement equipment, driver, mechanic and loads etc.) to conduct the requested test and in addition for external test supplier, secure quotation from test suppliers.
• Responsible for final sign off of the test object with concerned stake holders and circulate the sign off document and perform the test according to agreement.
• Detailed technical discussion with external test supplier and participate during the test activity. Follow up with test supplier, if the test is conducted at external test facility. (Applicable for feature test engineer only)
• Perform Vehicle measurements, Rig testing (Durability related), Analyse the measured data 
• Report the test observations during the test thru PIL (within KPI of 4 working days), observation sheet etc.
• As an issuer of the PIL, test engineer shall update the PIL, participate meetings and provide recommendation.
• Analyze the test results and document in ER (Engineering Report - within KPI of 4weeks) with clear conclusion and recommendation.
• Store the test measurement details (RAW DATA, Measurement information etc.) in dedicated storage location followed in respective function.
• Support AE activities requested by the feature leader.
• Continue to develop competency in core area of work.
• Responsible for maintaining the test object during the testing period
